Handhufushi Maldives, surrounded by a beautiful lagoon and long stretches of white, sandy beach, is the only resort on the island of Herathera, a 20 minute speedboat transfer from Gan International Airport, on the island of Gan. Gan is about a 70 minute flight south of Hulhule International Airport, the main airport near Male’. After about 55 of the 70 minute flight, your flight crosses the equator then continues about 15 minutes to Gan.
300 Rooms including 180 Beach Villas and 120 Jacuzzi Beach Villas. The 120 Jacuzzi Beach Villas are individual wooden bungalows located on the beach, offering a beautiful view of the lagoon or ocean and with a more spacious bedroom, a four poster bed, and a jacuzzi for two "under the stars" on top of the wooden decked, private, walled-in backyard with chaise lounges, a shade umbrella and tropical plants.
The 180 Beach Villas are individual wooden bungalows located on the beach, offering a beautiful view of the lagoon or ocean and with a private, walled-in backyard covered with white sand, chaise, lounges, a shade umbrella and tropical plants.
All guest rooms feature tropical decor, king size bed, wood floor, air-conditioning, ceiling fan, sitting area, stocked mini bar with refrigerator, tea/coffee machine, IDD telephone, flat screen LCD cable TV, CD/DVD player, personal safe, partially open-air bathroom with shower, bath accessories and hair dryer, a porch with lounge furniture and nightly turndown service. Electricity is 220VAC, 50HZ.
Also provided is complimentary use of chaise lounges at the pools and beach and beach towels.
Herathera Dive Center is a PADI 5-Star Dive Center and offers a wide range of PADI diving courses on all levels; from beginners to professional Divemaster level. The Dive Center is well equipped with modern diving gear and support equipment that consists of Bauer compressors, aluminium tanks, Aqualung regulators with octopus, SPG and SeaQuest Spectrum 4 BCDs. Hartenberger Torches, Aladin Pro dive computers, wet suits, backpacks, adapters and such are available for those who may need them to complete their equipment. Digital cameras in underwater housings and Underwater Propulsion Scooters are also available for rental. |
