Thaa Atoll, traditionally known as Kolhumadulu, is located between latitude 2° 34' N and 2° 10' N. It is situated to the southeast of Dhaalu Atoll and is virtually a circular reef with a few openings for entry into the atoll through the surrounding reef. The atoll is among the larger atolls in the Maldives with almost 60km in breadth and 50km in length.
